JMI Equity
JMI Equity is a private equity firm focused on software and business services companies. Our
vision when we were founded was to put together a group of highly skilled professionals who
would partner with management teams in the software and business services sectors to build
exceptional companies. Those sectors have been our exclusive focus for over sixteen years.
We have helped build industry leading companies within many segments of these markets. JMI is
an active investor and always takes a seat on the board of directors of its portfolio companies. Our investments range from $10 million to $60 million. Together with our Limited Partners, we can invest multiples of those amounts. Our strategy is to focus on software and business services companies with proven business models and partner with management teams to build industry-leading companies. JMI invests only in markets we know well and in opportunities where our skills and expertise, not just our capital, help build industry leading businesses. We believe that building successful companies takes a great deal of time and hard work and we want to partner with management teams who feel the same way. Our team has 24 investment professionals in two offices, Baltimore and San Diego. Many have worked together and known each other for years.
