OMERS Capital Partners invests and manages OMERS private equity investments, employing a team of investment professionals with in-depth experience in both fund and direct investing. OMERS is one of Canada’s largest pension funds with over $52 billion in assets and growing. OMERS has been investing in private companies and helping them succeed for over 20 years. Our private equity investment strategy takes two forms: Investing in buyout, mezzanine and venture capital funds managed by external specialists who have demonstrated the ability to outperform their peers consistently over time. Investing directly in private companies: we identify potential opportunities with fund partners and other like minded investors, conduct due diligence, structure and execute the transaction. Our goal is to significantly increase our commitment to private equity to approximately 10% of OMERS total assets, further building on our leading position in the growing private equity market in Canada, the U.S. and internationally.
