Justin Abelow: Managing Director, Deutsche Bank Securities
Justin Abelow is a Managing Director in the Financial Sponsors Group at Deutsche Bank Securities, where he is responsible for providing advice to leading private equity firms on mergers and acquisitions, leveraged finance, equity issuance and other aspects of corporate finance.
Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Mr. Abelow served in a similar function at Houlihan Lokey, where he led that firm’s East Coast private equity coverage practice and served on its equity investment committee. Prior to that, Mr. Abelow served as an investment banker at firms including J.P. Morgan Securities and The First Boston Corporation and as a corporate attorney at the firm of Davis Polk & Wardwell. Over the course of his career, Mr. Abelow has worked on over 300 closed transactions involving over 40 discrete private equity firms. He has been named one of the top young bankers on Wall Street by periodicals including Investment Dealers Digest, Dealmaker, and the New York Times.
Mr. Abelow is a member of the board of directors of a number of civic and philanthropic organizations, including The New York Landmarks Conservancy and the New York Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth. On weekends, Mr. Abelow moonlights as a volunteer tour guide in New York’s Central Park.
He is a magna cum laude graduate of Columbia College, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and a graduate of the Columbia University School of Law, where he was named a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. He resides in New York City with his wife, son and daughter.
