Martin Day: Managing Director, OMERS Capital Partners
Martin Day is a Managing Director at OMERS Capital Partners (OCP), the organization responsible for investing the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System's (OMERS) private equity allocation. The team at OCP is responsible for building and managing an internationally diversified portfolio of private equity fund investments, and sourcing, structuring and negotiating direct equity investments in the North American, European and Asian private marketplace. Martin manages and is on the advisory board of over 15 of OCP’s fund relationships in Canada, the US, Europe and Asia, and has completed a number of co-investments in Canada and the US. Martin has extensive experience with private equity funds and high growth companies, with specific expertise in private and public financings, mergers and acquisitions, and domestic and international corporate transactions. Martin previously worked with a private equity manager in Toronto, began his career in the Toronto and Hong Kong offices of Goodmans LLP and is currently Co- Chair of the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA)
