Steven Collins: Managing Director - Boston, Advent International
Steven Collins joined Advent in 1995 as an associate focusing on buyout and growth equity investments. He also served as chief financial officer of Kirkland's Inc., an Advent portfolio company. Following business school, Steven rejoined Advent to focus on investments in the retail and business services sectors.
His past experience includes positions with Merrill Lynch & Co. in mergers and acquisitions and with Coopers & Lybrand in the audit group.
Steven has participated in a number of Advent investments, including Aspen Technology Inc., Datek Online Holdings Corp., Inframetrics Inc., Kirkland's Inc., lululemon athletica Inc., Making Memories Inc., Shoes For Crews Inc., The Island ECN Inc. and Trexel Inc.
He received a BA and BS in economics, with honors, from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
