Mark Jones, Partner, River Associates Investments
Mark Jones has been with River Associates since 1995. At River Associates, Mark’s primary roles are to oversee the acquisition origination process as well as to manage relationships with investment bankers, merger and acquisition intermediaries and senior and mezzanine financing sources. Mark serves on the National Board of Directors of the Association for Corporate Growth (www.acg.org) as the Chairman of ACG InterGrowth 2008. River Associates has an 18 year/60 transaction/5 fund track record as a private equity partner for management teams in buyout, recapitalization, family succession and corporate divestiture transactions. River is currently investing its fifth fund, with $111 million in capital, and is generally focused on lower middle market companies with operating income (EBITDA) in the $2-10 million range. The firm is opportunistic with regard to industry and geography (River Associates will invest in companies throughout the U.S. and Canada) and, due to a small group of patient capital limited partners, can be a longer term partner than many other equity sponsors.
