Svoboda Capital Partners LLC (“SC”) is a Chicago-based private equity firm that invests in and helps build leading value-added distribution, consumer and business services companies in the lower-middle market. SC partners with management to lead buyouts, recapitalizations and growth equity investments in businesses where SC can leverage its extensive relationships and industry expertise to build value. SC invests in companies with $10 to $100 million of revenue and $3 to $15 million of EBITDA, and typically invests $10 to $25 million per transaction. We invest in companies throughout the U.S., though most of our platform investments are east of the Rocky Mountains. SC targets investments in value-added distribution, consumer and business services companies, and will also invest in niche manufacturing businesses. SC focuses on value-added distribution companies that leverage either direct marketing, outbound telesales or direct selling; and distribute products such as: maintenance, repair, and operations supplies, refurbished and used products, aftermarket parts and accessories, and consumable consumer and healthcare products. In consumer, SC focuses on niche branded and private label consumer products, services and retail, including: multi-channel retail, specialty food and beverage, hobby and do-it-yourself, gifts and crafts, food and beverage, household products, personal care, lawn and garden, hardware and home improvement, disposable healthcare products and restaurants. In business services, SC focuses on marketing services, specialty advertising, finance, accounting, human resources, transaction and document processing, logistics, facilities management, healthcare, professional and consulting services, risk management, asset management, training, education, staffing, and information and database service businesses. With $250 million in capital under management, SC invests with management or in partnership with other private equity firms. Although we have “voting control” in most of our investments, we will consider ownership of less than 50% in selective situations.
