George C. Gaines, Jr.
George C. Gaines, Jr. joined BerchWood in 2003 and has specialized in raising equity for private limited partnerships for over 20 years, after transitioning from a legal practice focused on securities, tax and corporate law.Prior to joining BerchWood, George was Managing Director and Head of Global Distribution in the Private Equity Fund Group of Citigroup’s Investment Bank. Previously, he was Managing Director at Heitman Capital and JMB Institutional Realty Corporation after practicing law at Chicago-based Rooks, Pitts, Fullager and Poust.
George received his BA in economics from University of California, Berkeley and his JD from University of Virginia Law School. George is a member of the American and Illinois State Bar Associations and has obtained his Series 7 and 24 licenses.
