Christopher Pace: General Partner, West LB Mellon Asset Management
Mr. Pace is a member of the Investment Committee, the Portfolio Manager for SPEP I, and a Deal Team Leader with responsibility for fund investments, co-investments, and stock distribution management. Mr. Pace joined the Private Equity Group in 1998 and has 24 years of financial services experience. Prior to joining the Adviser, he was a Director of the Private Markets Group of Forstmann-Leff International ("FLI") which formed the original nucleus of the Private Equity Group. Before FLI, he served as Vice President in Alex Brown's Venture Capital Services group where he was responsible for relationships with buyout and venture capital funds and institutional limited partners. He also managed stock distributions and developed knowledge on a broad spectrum of private equity-backed companies and sectors. Previously, Mr. Pace was a portfolio manager with Rogers, Casey Alternative Investments ("Rogers, Casey") and co-managed and advised on investments in private markets partnerships and co-investments. He was also responsible for stock distribution management and the creation and investment of a post-venture public equity program. Prior to Rogers, Casey, Mr. Pace had over seven years of sales & trading and commercial lending experience with Bank of America and Irving Trust Company. Mr. Pace received his M.B.A. in Finance and Marketing from Columbia Business School and his B.A. in Mathematics-Economics from Wesleyan University with a focus on Computer Science.
